Lincoln was the fastest growing city in California not too long ago, and with its rich history, natural surroundings, and ideal location, it’s no surprise. Twelve Bridges is one of the newest communities in Lincoln, lying just on the outskirts of the hustle and bustle of town, but close enough to not miss a thing.
The community of Twelve Bridges is comprised of newer homes with wide, aesthetic streets with landscaped roundabouts and easements and antique streetlights. Basketball hoops adorn nearly every other home, signifying that these streets belong to the kids. The neighborhood is surrounded by grasslands and a natural preserve, with Orchard Creek meandering through the area. A network of walkways and bike paths connect streets and link the area to the commercial conveniences of town and the scenic area of Lincoln Hills. Coyote Pond Park is also nearby. The 24-acre oasis has a play structure and picnic area, as well as a pond and an extensive system of trails.
Twelve Bridges Elementary School and Twelve Bridges Park sit at the center of the neighborhood, with the middle school, high school and even more parks not far away. The Twelve Bridges Library is new and modern, with ample natural lighting and numerous programs. In addition to homework assistance and preschool-friendly readings, there’s a large technology room, family story time, and movie nights.
All these amenities are enough to make Twelve Bridges the perfect place to raise a family, or simply spend the days soaking in the Sierra lifestyle. But the town of Lincoln ups the offerings with small town appeal, hosting Christmas and Fourth of July parades, fireworks, a food truck event every month downtown, and the Tour de Lincoln bike event in the spring.
Numerous golf courses, proximity to Roseville, Sacramento, and the Bay Area, as well as Lake Tahoe, easily explain why Money Magazine listed Lincoln among the top 100 cities to live in the United States and was named an All-American City by the National Civic League in 2006.
